The Delaware Code is more or less systematic and comprehensive written statement of laws which apply to the the State of Delaware. Within the code are Titles which group specific laws by categories, which are further divided by sections and subsections. The Birth Certificates link to the left is an extraction from the Delaware Code pertaining to the law governing access to an original birth certificate. The Recommended Changes link is a compilation of recommended changes from a group consisting of an adoptee, a birth mother and an adoptive father who looked at the laws of other states and a few Canadian provinces for ideas as to how they dealt with the concerns of the adoption community.
